I promised a revision of the first posting from Books to Acquire or Borrow explaining a little something about each entry giving an idea as to why I posted it in my journal to begin with, and here it is.

Categories & Subjects (I wanted to split this list into at least these two main headings, maybe more as the lists develops).

Underneath these two main headings then I have listed a few sub-categories, and it is in these that the actual entries would be classified.

1. Collecting (collecting what you ask? Collecting Coins, Books, Antiques including Records (vinyl lp's including 45's 78's 33 1/3 rd's). Technically 78's are Shellac and not Vinyl.).

So far my list only contains book entries and here they are again including the extra information promised:

1. Mobile Home Wealth
by Zalman Velvel, Borders has is for $19.95 (probably can be had elsewhere cheaper which is why I noted the price and why I just created the html link to buy it on Amazon--click the link and I get paid a wee little bit if you buy the book, not much really and Amazon has a good price :) I just checked and Amazon has it for $13.57). This book list started while I was standing at Borders, there was so many great books there I felt compelled to start recording the ones I would eventually want to explore further. A book like this is intriguing for several reasons. Namely that a person can make money by investing in mobile homes (which is the premise of the book according to the author). For me, the fact that this is an unknown market makes it interesting enough to want to research it. I almost always am intrigued by subjects that seem to be hidden treasures (things that the masses do not know about but promise something of value--worth pursuing). Plus, I have been interested in mobile homes for a long time. Not sure why, maybe its the cheapness or affordability. Maybe it's the fact that many of them date from the late 50's and early 60's, eras both of which I like. I admire the architecture from these eras and seek it out in my homes (hence the home we live in now was built in the very early 60's).

2. Debt Cures They Don't Want You To Know About
by Kevin Trudeau, Borders has it for $14.95 but Amazon has it for $10.38 if you click the title (I added the html code and will get paid a tiny bit if you buy the book). Another book similar to the first one listed in that the title suggest something that few know much about, certainly a topic that promises something of value and from the title we can gather that the topic is purposely being hidden (they don't want you to know about). So, because I don't have the time to read through the book right now, I simply make a note of it for later recall.

3. Million Dollar Networking
by Andrea R. Nierenberg, Borders has it for $15.95 Amazon for $14.96 buy by clicking the title link above. I had just got done reading some Andrew Carnegie wherein he states emphatically the value of networking. So, this is why the title jumped out at me, in large part because of what I had previously heard from Carnegie (plus of course, who doesn't want more friends right? Or a larger list of acquaintances).

4.Think and Grow Rich [Collectors Edition Cloth Hardcover]
by Napoleon Hill, Borders has is for $30.00 Amazon for $24.95 new just click the link in the title above. I have a collection of books from this author. The first time I read Think and Grow Rich I was thirteen years old. Since then I have read the book maybe twenty times. It is by far one of the best books ever written on the subject of creating your world. Just like the title says, you can literally Think and grow rich. But more than that, what you think becomes your reality. Equally important, whether you know it or not, what you think is and has been creating your reality all your life.

The last (first) Diary post was undated in my journal but as it was posted prior to this one it must have dated from around the first of October.

Entry #2 10-06-09: Went shopping with Diamond today & Fariba got really mad about it claiming I only bought things for myself (as if food is gonna be only for me) & spent too much money ($27) as its only Tuesday (early in the week for our food budget). These types of episodes & this type of behavior bothers me. This is what reminds me that our relationship may not last forever (even though we've been married for over 25 years). Why should I be around people that lash out at me? My path is geared toward rising above these petty behaviors. I am reminded to make plans to get away or possibly live on my own.

My desire is to have enough income to allow me to travel via bus motorhome/Land-Yacht style or similar. A large bus motorhome will give me enough space for my belongings.

Entry number 1: Today is Fariba's Fiftieth birthday and we are living at Pary Xanums house, a friend & former co-worker of hers. This home was built in the 1950's & has its architecture to match (the modern design, kinda cool actually but old). Astounding views of the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. It is just spectacular.

The Helicopters that frequently fly over the house are seemingly slightly sinister, imparting a feeling of superiority and caution.

Nonetheless, one has a feeling of dominion being able to look over the masses in the valley below. Aircraft is often at eye level or even below eye level. The lights of the cities at night are pretty.

The neighborhood is quiet and serene. I feel as if I will finally be able to have the ability to come into my own blossoming as it is into the man I was destined to become.

I'll make it good...

After thinking about the post from yesterday, I decided that it would be a good idea to write something about each entry rather than list it as if plucked directly from the journal. To me, the way these list entries are recorded is understandable, mainly because I know myself. But you don't, so how meaningful is it? Some of the entries are self-explanatory, but others, as in the case of the entry Books I Would Like to Acquire or Borrow, need some description.

The next post will consist of the same list of books, etc. but with the necessary introductions wrapped around each item. After that, I will move onto the juicier entries!

Ah, this is great because I can finally just write whatever is on my mind and not worry about whom it might please or whom it may offend. It'll be true stuff too, which I always favored over the ready made crap of a purely commercial work. Alright already, I said I would post from my journal and I will.

What's coming and how it's going to come

So, in publishing my journal, and since there are already entries recorded from several weeks ago, I will cherry pick through the entries and post whatever I feel I should. Kind of like whichever way the wind blows. There may not be any particular reason or rhyme to the posts, nor may they be published in the order in which they were written. But at any rate, I will sort of grab them and throw them at the wall of my blog and instead of seeing what sticks, they'll all be published. Whatever gets thrown will be published and whatever order my feeble mind deems appropriate. So here's to the first post.

It should be noted that since I do have websites that although were started as hobby sites, are quickly becoming money makers for me--commercial interests. So, from time to time, various posts are going to interjected that are not related to the daily journal of my life (well actually in a way they are because it's part of my bread and butter). But, anyway keep in mind that I need to make a living as well as spew my bullshit to the world. Or is it one and the same?

The Time Has Come

Alright folks, the time has come. I've decided to begin posting parts of my daily journal. I have kept a daily journal of sorts for a for a while now recording all manner of thoughts, one short story, phone numbers, contacts, books that I would like own, and items such as these. In reviewing this journal today, and after making a few entries I got to thinking why not publish parts of it to my blog. I mean no one is watching anyway so it can't hurt. And in the off chance someone does decide to read it maybe they will be appalled enough to follow it.

So what you are going to get here is pure me, unedited and unadulterated. Maybe you won't like what you read...frankly, I won't care as I wrote this stuff for me, to help understand who I am and become the man whom I need to become. If I decide to fluff up an entry to pump up my ego, so be it. I am not trying to impress anyone here. There is not any keyword jamming going on, no SEO or no attempt to get good search rankings. I don't care one iota if anyone ever reads this stuff or not. It'll be a record for me, a way to keep track of myself as I grow over time...an online journal.

So, read on if you dare and if not that's fine too.

The Year 2049 (by then everyone knows 'The Secret")

I still remember reading the book that changed my life, seemingly with such ease, the one book, at one moment in time, which would cement a long held belief that we do in fact create our worlds. Indeed, we know that our worlds materialize continuously from one fraction of a second to the next. Our brains’ neural networks keep certain thoughts and sensory information and disregard others. What ‘chunks of data’ are gathered and grouped for long-term storage via our frontal lobe? Is this a purely autonomic function? Certainly most of us are never outwardly aware of how this grouping coalesces. As far as we know, the whole process just happens automatically, registering thoughts and sensory information into what appear to be randomly gathered schema. It also appears some peoples’ schema is a better, more complete representation of the actual event, allowing better recall. Does this account for some being more successful, assuming the same level of participation or effort? Perhaps some questions remain unanswered. Further study into the matter will no doubt yield the answer to these and other questions.

As mentioned, I vividly remember reading the groundbreaking book, ‘The Secret’. Halfway through the book it was apparent the information was no secret; rather a summarization of countless other books extant, written at various stages in time, but obviously all read by the author. Surprisingly, the knowledge presented in ‘The Secret’ mirrored many books other respected books on the subject. Clearly, others already knew of The Secret and were applying the techniques with varying degrees of success, and had been for a long time. However, that book presents this information quite elegantly, and therefore, is able to easily convey it to the average thinking person. Most people are not consciously aware of how their minds operate or influence the Universe around them, so in a matter of speaking--it was a secret! The author has a unique ability to write in such a manner that allows others to easily understand and internalize involved concepts. These concepts form the basis of our Universe--everything that is, was or ever shall be. Espoused by scientists, occultists, philosophers and even religious leaders, but never easily explained before ‘The Secret’. Most information provided by scores of other books can be difficult to grasp. ‘The Secret’ should be in your personal library; it is an excellent book well worth your time and attention.

From experience, reading books like this helps to shift us back into high gear[i]. They also help keep us on track to consciously bring our life into material manifestation, according to our dreams and desires. It helps build a more comprehensible understanding of fundamental law. In addition, each new day brings fresh opportunities to remold our world.

Finally, the Dreamer awakes encouraged to dream, and on a big scale. Indeed, challenged to think big and build a daring consciousness that sees no self-imposed boundaries. Although fun, it is not always easy to be the dreamer because so much negative connotation goes along with that title. Told to get our heads out of the clouds and come down to reality! What reality? As we know, reality is what we make it. The unseen is more real than that the seen. Yet many people who are honestly trying to help, your partner or spouse, your kids, your parents and your friends, in actuality are hurting us in our quest to keep ourselves in the right frame of mind in order to manifest our world the way we wish. In fact, getting and keeping out minds ‘right’ can be the most difficult task of the whole process of creation. Recently after several hours of self-programming, a state of inner peace arose wherein I was joyful, happy and content. Within ten minutes of conversing with a close friend, that state of mind was gone, and in its place were thoughts not conducive to the process of creation, as I have defined it.

It is not easy to go against the mold (of society). In fact, for those desiring to clear their minds of negativity and limited thinking, the mold of society is a force to reckon with.[ii]

What does this mean? We know there is no reason to grow old. Our complete molecular structure renews itself, many times, over the course of our existence. All cells in our bodies renew themselves every three years (I learned this from ‘The Secret’). Therefore, there is no reason to grow old! If it were not for negative thinking, this mold of society affecting our thoughts and keeping us in a mind-set of decay and old age would not have the power to influence us. We would be able to stay young and vibrant continually renewing ourselves positively every three years and in the manner of our choosing.

Regardless, books which discuss ideas like these encourage independent thought and the forming of ones’ own opinions. They also afford a glimpse into the hitherto unknown Secrets of the Universe. Acquire ‘The Secret’ as soon as possible, read it and apply it. You will be glad you did. Happy reading!

[i] The Occultist would say that it raises your vibratory pattern. Reading books of this nature do help to elevate our thoughts, in turn, these types of thoughts are on a ‘higher level’ or ‘frequency’ than the more mundane thoughts, which seem to find their way into our minds so easily.

[ii]This force is comprised of thought-grids which hover over the large cities of the world like a black plague, haunting us and influencing our thinking, sickening us with a plethora of negative thought patterns which ultimately makes us whither literally away, grow old and die.

The Foundation of My Code of Ethics

I wish to be of service to my fellow men as I journey through life. To do this I have adopted this creed as a guide to be followed in dealing with my fellow beings.

To train myself so that never, under any circumstances, will I find fault with any person, no matter how much I may disagree with him or how inferior his work may be, as long as I know he is sincerely trying to do his best. To recognize that we are all endowed with unique abilities.

To respect my country, my profession and myself. To be honest and fair with my fellow men, as I expect them to be honest and fair with me. To be a loyal citizen of my country. To speak of it with praise, and act always as a worthy custodian of its good name. To be a person whose name carries weight wherever it goes.

To base my expectations of reward on a solid foundation of service rendered. To be willing to pay the price of success in honest effort. To always do more than paid for. To look upon my work as an opportunity to be seized with joy and made the most of, and not as a painful drudgery to be reluctantly endured.

To remember that success lies within myself—in the dominant thoughts within my own mind. To expect success but be prepared for difficulties and to force my way through them.

To avoid procrastination in all its forms, and never, under any circumstances, put off until tomorrow any duty that should be performed today.

Finally, to take a good grip on the joys of life--to live in the now--so I may be courteous to men, faithful to friends, true to GOD—a fragrance in the path I tread.

Random thoughts #1 - Google Blogs and long-term implications

While pondering Google, which I often do, because they never fail to impress, an interesting thought came to mind. They encourage us to blog--and blog a lot for that matter. Anything we want, from personal communications to photos, and as a pulpit of sorts. I know of no limit on web space for Google blogs. They also have GMAIL, which essentially archives a tremendous amount of email; again, it is freely stored on the web. I believe this data will live on forever. How different from personal data from our past, which is miniscule in comparison and quite fragile really.

What are the long-term implicatons of this? I don't have the answer, but rest assured its huge.
